My budget is definitely very limited.. only one so far. SP01 Tactical. Oh and I have 2 shotguns and 2 rimfires but only the one pistol.

Since this pic I have added the CGW EZ Drift sights, and am getting CZ Custom hammer and trigger job soon.

I feel ya on the tedious process of getting a firearm, here in norway we need to document activity in a shooting club for six months, buy a approved safe, then apply for a permit to buy a firearm.
We're also restricted to one weapon in each caliber, and only for sports, carrying for self defense is strictly forbidden.

I'm applying for my permit next week, but have had a SP-01 Shadow on lay-away at my local shop for some time :)
Had to snap a picture when i was there and paid for it :)

Like he said it varies a lot depending on what state you live in.
I'm lucky to live in a free state. I have 8 or more places I can buy a gun within 7 miles of home, and a nice free range in a state park just 10 min from my front door.
It might be pushing it a little, but I think I could get in my truck, drive to a nice locally owned shop, fill out a short Federal form, buy a gun and be at the range in under an hour. And the state range provides the paper targets for free.
To top it off the county fair grounds where they hold a gun show 4 times a year is one mile from me.
I have the best of all worlds, but it costs me a lot of money.
Other folks in other states have a lot more hoops to jump through to get their guns.

I have to agree - live in Hawaii, and the Norwegian system will look like heaven. Live in New Jersey, and California law looks good. Live here in Free AZ and know the truth - our laws are awesome. Best thing is, our climate is similar to South Africa and Australia, so you guys would fit right in. Norwegians...not so much, unless you went to the far northern end. :) Funny thing, I am mostly Norwegian...anyone got any lefse? Hold the lutefisk...

Same here in Va. There are 5 Gun stores within 20 min from me and 10 min to Indoor range ( NRA Headquarters) or 20 min to Outdoor range. 10-15 min tops to purchase Firearm, plenty of time to hit the range within a hour. Funny Part is I'm 8 miles South West od DC..
