I'm thinking of buying one and it's all your fault. Never bought a gun I haven't held and rarely buy online so I have some questions/confirm my intel:

They use standard CZ75B series mags?

I haven't seen any aftermarket part like springs, is any one offering them yet?

Not planning on doing any mods, but is anyone working on these? Didn't  see any tutorials in the gunsmith section. Is it even doable? I understand the stock trigger is very good. Might not need any tinkering.

Has anyone needed and received factory replacement parts? I understand EAA is no longer the importer and Task has stepped up.

Have I missed anyone manufacturing a compact polymer frame 9mm with a DECOCKER in this price range? Not interested in a striker fired system.

A terrible review of the manufacturing because they didn't review it all.
Just to clarify, as your statement could easily be misconstrued.
It wasn't a review of terrible manufacturing.
Sarsilmaz has a history of high quality manufacturing which I'm sure has gotten even better as evidenced by this perfectly machined B6PC I was just handling.

Don't know of anyone that has bothered to modify or customize theirs as yet.  Some of the aftermarket Tanfoglio/Witness springs may fit and function, but generally this is not a Pistol that is often customized.  Currently, I've no plans to modify mine, but I would like a front Fiber Optic Night Sight should one become available for it.

The Mec-Gar 16 round Magazines cannot be used in my SAR K2P as they won't go in the Magazine Well deep enough to reach the Magazine Latch, but the Mec-Gar Cz75 17 round and 19 round Magazines will work in the SAR K2P very nicely.  You can read my review of it here: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=55769.msg352410#msg352410

Have been carrying and shooting mine for about a year now with no complaints.  It has been my Fall and Winter EDC.  Going hammerless/striker fired for Spring and Summer carry, so my K2P will be doing House Gun Duty then.

Hello I recently purchased a Sar k2p 9mm and really love the feel of this pistol. I have not owned a firearm in over 20 years and was anxious to shoot it at our local range. I purchased some Fiocchi  115gr FMJ rounds and headed out to the range, I did not oil the K2p prior to use. I shot 30 rounds but stopped due to persistent failure to feed problems every 2 to 3 rounds, I have done my research prior to purchasing and had not found this to be a problem. I would like to know if anyone else has had these problems or am I doing something wrong maybe not holding the pistol firmly enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really like this firearm.

I have problems with those Fiocchi ammo. Would never use those again.

Thanks for the link. I read that a while back and just remembered there was an issue with some mags.

I don't have a SAR yet but it is always a good practice for a new firearm to field strip, clean and lube before shooting. Manufactures may not get all the debris out and they may grease it with a heavy  lube for long term protection against rust while sitting on a shelf. Read JWC007 review link and you'll see his gun need some attention.

I have a K2 45.    I tried to get a new front sight after I lost mine when trying to fit a Tanfo FO sight.   After months with EAA and Task, I gave up.   Brian Ahearn (on this forum) is starting to do after market stuff for SARs.   I love the gun.   I'm hoping he becomes a good conduit for parts and custom work.

I did not oil the K2p prior to use.

Very very bad idea!    There seems to be a persistent myth that Firearms are supposed to be like old Swiss Watches and work without Lubrication. Firearms are more of akin to a Car Engine with some Combustion going on and a Car Engine won't work very long without Oil!  Also, the Packing Grease some new Firearms are shipped with is really a Preservative more than it would be a lubricant and can gum up the works.  Best to remove it by giving the Gun a good cleaning BEFORE heading to the Range for the First time.  Also,  the Proof Rounds used to test Firearms before shipment tends to be really sooty and can also gum up the works, and the Factory usually does not clean them before shipping.  A Gunshop may clean a display sample, but it's usually just a cursory cleaning.

Give your K2P a good cleaning and Lube then head to the Range with some good ammunition.  A lot of Discount Stores have the Federal Champion 9mm which is reasonably priced and should work well for you.

AZ_CZ, congrats on your Sar! I love mine and would actually take it over my EAA Witness P if you told me I had to choose between those two alone. Unless you plan on shooting competition, don't worry about messing with the trigger as it is fine for what the pistol was designed for; it has a very smooth single action and what you would likely expect for a DA pull.

To answer your question about compact polymer frame 9 with a decocker, the only two pistols I can think of that immediately come to mind (because I own and love both) are the P-07 which I stole off of Gunbroker for $380, and the Walther P99 AS. But, the Walther is striker- fired and also, there is no way you will find it anywhere near as affordable as our clones or CZ parent.

This is also Striker Fired with a very short trigger reset.  I like mine alot!  Very low priced but quality is excellent!  A true bargain if there ever was one!


Canik55 TP-9 with Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove specified for the S&W M&P. While I like the stock TP-9 Grip, the Pachmayr Grip Glove enhances it a bit.

thanks for the info on this thread.  just bought a K2 9mm today.  love the way it feels. and hope to get to the range this week and fire some down range.  glad i read here and reminded me to clean and lube it before a trial run. 

I am a big guy (6'3 290) and this is actually big enough for my hand, but still small enough for me to comfortably conceal carry. 
The only other pistol i have owned is a Ruger GP100 long barrel.  never could conceal it, but it feels great in my hands which is why i bought it.  Never thought i would own another handgun, but was really taken by reviews i found on on the K2 9mm.  cannot wait to fire it.
