How do you remove the trigger of a PCR?
« on: January 25, 2003, 02:40:03 AM »
I just got a used PCR 2 weeks ago and the trigger seems to have some rough places on the sear/hammer. An oldtimer that I work with told me how to go about polishing the two surfaces, but I can't get the thing apart. I called CZ and asked them about this and they said take it to a gunsmith. Thanks. I have searched rec.guns and google but cannot find any reference how to take this trigger assembly apart. I don't want to spend another $100 at the gun shop.

Could some one PLEASE give me a detailed description how to take the trigger apart?

Ive done some extensive gun smithing to my guns...just ask around....The plain B' model probably wont be a problem for those with a high mechanical inclination...but the D" models...PCR/PO1 included are much more complicated to takedown and put back togethor....
I can recommend a great smith to you in UT....he did my PCR and installed my PO1 trigger.  VERY VERY reasonable.....hes in UT.  Let me know if you want his name.......
ID highly recommend not only using a reputable smith to do this but one with D" model experience.
Shoot well....BTW..the difference in the triggers is amazing.

Thanks, but I don't want a gunsmith, I want instructions.

I would like to be intimately knowledgeable about the firearms I own. I don't want to just tear into something that I'm not familiar with. Instructions I can follow but blindly ripping a gun apart is just stoopid.

So back to my original question:

Could someone please give me instructions to disassymble the trigger assembly?????

In that case..your best bet is to post this in gunsmithing and the 75 BD club....more people will respond to your request there.  Shoot well:smokin
