Question Re:Low Profile Sights
« on: January 24, 2003, 10:22:18 AM »
Hey guys,

Question, who makes the low profile sight on the PCR's ??
Can the rear sight be used with the standard front post on my 75 SA ?? Will it fit in the factory dovetail?

And finally, does anyone who has replaced the stock sights (PCRit perhaps ?) want to get rid of their low profile rear sight? I might be interested in buying it if it will work on my SA...

Cheers,
Brad

I cant tell you the OEM sight maker..but PT makes a nice LowMount style...Trij makes one Ive seen but its been a while.
The PCR OEM rear will fit the standard 75 location...but its a reverse dovetail design...the sight mass is in front of the dovetail...on the 75 B...PT makes a standard...Novak standard dovetail that meets the back of the slide....the best option...
Plus you have a longer sight radius and it just looks bitchin.
If you use the rev. dovetail/PCR rear..you will have to mill out a section in front of your dovetail to make it fit.
Get the PT's...they are reasonable and make the right sight for what you want..but I think the company itself sucks.
Shoot well
