00 PCR compared to the 02 PCR....
« on: September 24, 2002, 08:37:20 PM »
I just saw an 2002 made PCR and compared it side by side with my 2000 made gun.  Very very similar..this isnt the Hybrid...regular PCR.  IT HAD THE PO1 TRIGGER.....not the trigger bar etc...just the trigger.  Smooth and nice.   The smooth trigger surface made the gun much better than the serrated one in my gun.....comparing trigger pulls...about equal.  My best guess is, if I had the smooth surface trigger in my gun...It would have been alot better.  It didnt have the little "Mod PCR" in front of the ejection port.  Strange...anyway.  Those were the more apparent differences.  Its NIB locally for 450$...kinda steep but a very nice gun.
Shoot well

00 PCR compared to the 02 PCR....

Ut83:

I picked up another PCR today.  Firearms Unlimited in Pittsburgh got the last six they could scrounge.  All are "02" models and all have the re-curved, smooth-faced P-01 trigger (I like this trigger better than the serrated ones on my other PCRs).  Also, all say "75 D Compact" on the slide.  No "mod PCR" either.

I got mine for less than the asking price, which was $449.  Another customer bought one at full pop.  With the sun setting on the PCR, looks like the dealers are trying to get top dollar from the remaining ones.  Heck, even the usually inexpensive CZ-Connection PCRs are going for $499 on the auction boards.

Firearms Unlimited has been known to dicker on price, so doesn't hurt to ask.  For you Western PA folks, there are still four sitting on the shelf.  Tell 'em I sent you.  Might help with a price break (but I'm not making any promises... ;)  ).

Take care.  Marko
