This is a pretty interesting commercial universal camo -- came across this camo when looking for 10/22s that are fully dipped... Bought some camo before the gun -- still not sold yet, but top three are mossy oak obsession, multicam and this camo, natural gear.

It's base is sort of a concrete gray (reads a light tan usually but is definitely gray). There are darker brown vertical lines, lighter brown mistings/soft fades, and then some coyote splotches. It is a vertical pattern, so more nature than manmade structures, but the colors are good. And this one was designed for falll/winter hunting -- likely in more temperate regions than my own. Initial impressions are that it is too light against any background with substantial green, so here it's probably best in the hottest parts of summer, especially drought years...
They also have this option, which I really like as well -- the SC2/scii. It appears to be the exact same natural gear pattern, but with a green and rhodesian yellow brush overlay... The yellow reads dried vegatation/grasses and the green is pretty neutral as well. So adding the green definitely does darken the pattern and close it in a little, but with the near constant green here in my part of TX with cedar, live oak, and winter grasses, that's not a bad thing....

I haven't done any formal camo testing as of yet, but initial impressions are that I think I'll end up preferring it to multicam and italian woodland vegetato (some of my current favorites) in most scenarios just due to the more white which matches the thin soils and all the exposed limestone around here...
naturalgear.com has some good sales going right now, and also offer a winter camo too.
The closest tactical camo natural gear's standard "natural gear" camo, the one w/o the green, reminds me of is ATACS-AU, but I only have an item w/ ATACS-FG on hand... I'll pick up some AU to compare...
