Newly in my possession. Coincidentally factory test fired four days before my birthday date.   :)

Let me know how it shoots. Are you left handed or just want the better stock trigger?

IMO, one of the better CZ's sold! Congrats.
You can get the DA under 8lbs and SA about 3lbs with some CZC or CGW mods if you like.
Look forward to seeing your range report.  :D

Thanks all,  at the LGS before purchase, I was considering the SP-01 Tactical and the 85 BD as well as the 75B Omega and the Sig 226 and Walther PPQ.

I went with the Combat because I preferred the out of the box trigger pull and lack of firing pin block.

I basically shoot target and not competition venues. (heck in my dumb City area, its a distance to get to a range. Politics keeps trying to quasch them etc..)

The ambi qualities actually were a secondary benefit since I do shoot ambidextrous.

Might go shoot this Saturday.

My 85C is my best shooting handgun I have and out groups my 1911.  As far as a holster for it I use a Bianchi model 19 for a Barreta Model 92 and put the thumb break strap over the back strap.  These go for about $65 from Optics Planet with free shipping.

Looks like our combats entered service about the same time. You are shooting it well for the first time. I had more flyers and a much less defined group on my first outing.

How is your trigger? I've heard the 85C's are highly regarded but mine has a little side to side wiggle and is grittier than my SAR k2p. I only have 16 rounds through it so it may smooth out. Just curious if you have any of these symptoms going on with yours.

Hey Mountainrider, sorry I missed this post.
My CZ85C has a very nice trigger.
The insides have no machining marks as some folks seem to find.

The trigger does not feel gritty. Fairly clean/crisp. I have not noticed side to side wiggle in the trigger overtly but again I have not checked for it.

I was able to shoot again a few days ago.
This is the first 10 shots of the day with this 85C ,indoor target at 9 yards.
The rest were close to the same at 10 yards.
