My new P-02
« on: September 24, 2014, 12:04:48 AM »
jak se m??? lol

I got to take my new P-02 home tonight. I still need to clean off the factory machine oil and give it a good wipe-down. This one is brand new but has CGW upgrade parts installed along with the factory parts. The mags are nickel-plated (may just be polished) too.

Mags

Factory parts that were replaced with CGW goodies...

The P-02 along with my first "Kolache Gun", my P-07 Duty with a Huntertown Arms Guardian 9.

I plan to upgrade the P-02's sights with some night sights in the near future. I have a set of cocobolo half-checker grips that should be delivered tomorrow from czcustom. The hunt is on for a nice leather holster for the P-02. My local gun shop has a new SP-01 Tactical in the display case. I'm trying to figure out which organ I can sell off first to get it, lol.

Don't sell your trigger finger!   ;D

Nice P-02, i have not seen many of them around.

Thanks for the pics, may your new pistol treat you well.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Very nice pick up! Awesome that you already have CGW goodies in your gun. How is the CGW'd Omega trigger? I know the P-02 I've shot had such a smooth trigger already, I bet it's crazy good with CGW goodies.

How every alloy framed CZ should be.  Can these take the nice P09 trigger?

It certainly feels nice and has a much better reset than a used factory P-02 that my LGS had in their display case. It still feels just a tad gritty, but I expect it to smooth out nicely once I can actually get it to the range and run a bunch of rounds through it. Between spending time with the fiancee and planning the wedding, range time has been quite limited over the past 6 weeks, haha.

My cocobolo grips and blued hex screws arrived from CZCustom last week. I requested a pair that were more red than brown and they delivered! THIS is how the gun should look!

I'm not sure why you would want to swap them. They are both Omega systems. Aren't they they same or nearly the same already?

The trigger geometry is different for the P-09 trigger. The P-09 trigger will not fit. My friend tried swapping his P-09 trigger into his P-02 and the lower portion of the trigger hit the frame so the sear couldn't disengage and let the hammer drop.

I really want decpcker levers for the P-02. I can't find them though. Here it is with a P-09 hammer.

I like the newer trigger better than the older, recurved one.  If the triggers are the same on top, I would just shorten the new style trigger so that it would clear the frame.

They are the same as far as I can tell. If you shaved the back side of the P-09 trigger, it should work. I don't know of the durability of the shaved P-09 trigger due to shaving metal off of an already thin trigger.

Nice pistol! How positive is the safety?  Do you feel confident that it will not come off in carrying?  I wish the trigger geometry was more in line with the PreB - the recurved trigger just feels claustrophobic, Thanks.
