Increase Mag Capacity
« on: September 25, 2014, 10:54:41 AM »
Is there a substitute magazine or a conversion process where one can increase the factory 10 round capacity on the Kadet .22LR?  I am using it on a CZ 75B and perhaps a CZ PCR. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Short answer....No, not realty
There are long and costly Mods, but nothing reliable and or reasonably cost affective

Fellow Kadet owners have been looking into this for years, but have not come up with a good solution.
It sure would be nice to have more capacity. Awhile ago I took Den's advice and load up five mags to start with.
Makes it easy to keep shooting and you know how many rounds you have spent.

It's real hard to make long magazines for 22 LR.   The rim makes it so they are hard to stack.   Everything I've ever seen that was longer than 10 rounds was shaped like a banana.
Don't mistake my high post count for knowledge or wisdom.   I just like hearing myself type.

I was curious why .22 straight mags were limited to 10 rounds ...thanks for the insight on stacking!

Once in a while,  especially at a steel match,  I have a pistol-shooter friend who shoots with a long bbl custom .22 (Ruger based I believe) that has straight 16rd mags.  I tried to find the mags on line and couldn't.  His .22 has a muzzle break and red dot and 'looks' like an open class gun.  I did find some similar looking Ruger Customs,  but no mention of the high cap mag was made. :-\

I have no idea about how they are stacked.

Very interesting!  Thanks for your feedback- enough to motivate me to keep looking for that elusive higher .22 LR capacity. :)
