Shadow Viper
« on: November 02, 2014, 08:50:31 PM »
Just thought I would post my new arrival. Have only 100 rounds through it to date and am very impressed.
I have an SVI Scepter in 6 inches that has been my target pistol up until now but I have a feeling this will become my favourite.
It is with the gun smith now as he is removing the double action and reducing the very large first trigger stage. It has to be 1\2 an inch of take up to fire in single action.
Will post more info on its return.

Gratz OP. If you have the time i would love to see more pictures of it. I also have a few questions.

How did you go about importing this pistol, or are you not in the US? What are the markings above and to the right of the trigger guard on the frame? I have seen them before on my HK P-2000 and Walthers in the US. Anyway sweet pistol! Looking forward to hearing how you like shooting it.

Thank you for the post.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

The marks are from Germany as the slide was made and proofed there.
I live in Spain and the gun was imported by a shop in Spain. It was 1550? (1935$) which is just about double what a CZ Shadow costs!
But everything in Europe is double compared to the US. I'm lucky that I can pick up items on my visits.
Will be a few days before I have it back.
The slide is super tight and needs a few more rounds before it is broken in.
Current powder in Vihtavouri N320 with a 124 grain TC round and 4.0 GNs of powder.

400driver,  that is a great looking pistol.
Interested in your updates about how it shoots.
We shoot very close to the same loads.  I didn't know VV was available in Spain.

Uh- its not ;)
Although it has now been approved there is no stock due to the draconian rules that exist here.

Great pistol, I'm jealous. Those Germans sure know how to make a great pistol even better. I'm interested to hear an accuracy report.

OK. Just drove down into town to pick it up. If you look closely at the picture you can see where a thread has been drilled and the work done to remove the double action. Just left of the trigger pin.
Also just put on the new Rink grips. They look amazing but that may not show through in this kitchen table light- Sorry.
Here is a screen shot in better light.
