Slings

What do you guys run for slings on your VZs? I'm trying to decide what kind I want to run on mine.

I use the original Czech sling.  It's simple and robust, and you can even adjust it into a single-point sling.  Don't use anything that's plastic or vinyl -- it'll melt to pieces.

I also use the original sling. For me a sling should be simple and strong. The less clips, buckles, etc, the less chance of breaking or catching on brush, clothing, gear, etc

I use the original also and have no complaints except I think I'd prefer a metal clip to the leather at the front. With that in mind and with a preference for black / dark (and being cheap) I was thinking about trying this Bulgarian AK74 one:

I run the Magpul MS1. makes a great 2 point to 1 point sling for this type of rifle.

I've used the original/reproduction vz. 58 sling. They work, but not the most comfortable things in the world. Now I use and highly recommend the Vicker's VCAS sling from Blue Force Gear. https://www.blueforcegear.com/vcas-acetal-sling.html Minus the OD color. It has the padding which is nice and comfortable and the acetal (plastic) hardware which has held up just fine and is quieter than metal hardware.

Minus the padding and the quick adjust system (for what it's worth). It's pretty much a standard two point sling.

Man I didnt realize so many people used the original sling. I just dont like it that much. Not that comfortable and mine looks pretty nasty. But thanks for the suggestions so far.

these sure do look nice, but man they get pricy. Not sure I could throw down close to 100 for a sling lol.

Another option is a single point bungee. Not very original, but I can slip it to the side to access my pistol or disconnect for maneuverability.

Yeah, it's $55 for the one with padding. $45 without. I suppose if you had the material and the know how. You could add padding to a sling yourself.

I really like the VCAS. And using the padded version has spoiled me from using a sling without padding.

There are plenty of good slings out there. Just depends on what people want to use.

Single point slings are great if you like hitting nuts with your rifle/carbine when you don't have both hands (on your rifle). Pun intended.  Because if you don't have your hands on either rifle covering or holding either "rifle". The rifle/carbine is probably gonna hit your nuts. Or you could wear a cup all the time.

I've started thinking I kind of want a 2 point sling with a nice clip so I can quickly disconnect it and move it to a 1 point if need. Similar to what hes running in this video.
