CZ75B Stainless / New Edition
« on: December 16, 2014, 10:40:08 AM »
Hi,
Im trying to decide which CZ75B stainless model to purchase. Due to my geographic location I dont have any stores/clubs nearby with the models im looking for. I have a pretty good idea what to expect with the matte/high polished models, but I have the opportunity to order a 'New Edition' with "bead blasted rounds and brushed flats".
What can I expect the bead blasted and brushed SS to feel like? Is one rougher than the other? Are they both rather smooth? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Which SS would you prefer? - Matte, high polish, brushed, new edition (bead/brushed)..
Thanks.

The surface is smooth.  The gun is my next purchase.  It is, in my opinion the best looking pistol made today.  I just don't see how you could be disappointed.

Thanks Bob.

Besides finish and sights, is anything else changed? Did I read somewhere that it's trigger pull is improved over the normal 75B?

The trigger I would think has not had any work on it.  Put a 13# spring in the gun and you will notice a world of difference.  I run 13# springs in all my CZ's and have never had a problem with light hammer strikes and that is with using a lot of Tula primers now with the shortages.

Hell I would run the gun stock and go play.  You can spend a lot of money trying to improve the gun with little to show for it when it comes to shooting the gun.  I think most would benefit from spending the money on ammunition and practice then spending money on eliminating minor trigger creep.

Take care

I have one and really like the combo. The brushed was a little "grainy" feeling until I rubbed it with the grain with a green scotchbrite pad. It felt nicer again after Militec treatment. It's quickly become one of my favorites to shoot. It taught me how much I prefer metal framed guns.

What the heck is the "new addition?"  I've seen the brushed SS model, is that it?

Model 91125 I believe. The flat sides are brushed, rest is matt   Cocobola grips, night sights, two chromed mags.

Mhm. 10 round mags... yay! The guy on the phone told me it was his last 'New Edition'. Al Flaherty's says due to the Egyptian contract, they dont expect to see any B's for a long time. Shadows only for a while.

Now that was exactly the last thing I wanted to hear. :)  I am glad I got my 75 Shadowline this fall then.  I flipped a coin as to which one to get and the Shadowline came home.  You see good used ones come up every once in awhile on gunnutz  so maybe I will get lucky in the spring.

Take cae
