New member with a magazine question
« on: January 06, 2015, 04:23:06 AM »
Hi, everyone -- Just joined here. My CZ stable includes (in addition to three .22 rifles) an 82 in 9x18 and two 83s: one in .380 and one in .32. I also live in New York State, which brings me to my problem.

We currently suffer under an abomination called the "NY SAFE Act," meaning that all mags over 10 rounds are verboten. I can find plenty of 10-rounders for the Mak/.380 calibers, but none -- zip, zilch, zero, zizzeroni -- for the .32. I was lucky enough to get two 10-rounders with the .32 when I bought it, but they're the first and last ones I've seen available anywhere. I called CZ-USA, and they basically said "Good luck." I e-mailed CZ in the Czech Republic, and they never answered. (I don't speak or write Czech -- maybe that's the problem ...)

I've been all over the Net with no luck. I've even seen 12-rounders advertised for the .32, which I didn't think existed -- 10 or 15 only, to the best of my knowledge. But no 10s. So ... can anyone help me? Anybody have a mag or two to sell or know where any are available?

Somewhere in your dilemma is an unfortunate joke about a great pistol designed by Communists behind the Iron Curtain and an owner that can't get the appropriate magazine due to the Communist government where he lives in the US.  :)

I just haven't been able to put my finger on it today.

Yeah, it's an irony-rich situation. If I lived in the Czech Republic, I'd be able to have 15-rounders, but here in the People's Republik of New York, Ne!
