Only reason I'm consolidating is im trying to buy all my ammo in bulk.  Not reloading yet, but I understand the need to diversify. Nice lineups guys!

i did this many years ago when i first got into guns and then reloading.  Trying to buy 44 mag ammo with lawn mowing $$$ was futile.  thats when minimum wage was 4~5 bucks an hour too.

but i choose my list of calibers to buy/reload based on what was available at the time.

22LR
9mm
357 Mag
10mm (remember Miami Vice?)
44 Mag
45 ACP
45 LC
475 LInebaugh
500 Linebaugh

223 (5.56 NATO)
30 M1
7.62 x 39
7.62 NATO
30-30
30-06
458 Win Mag

I'll never catch up to jameslovesjammie, but I share the sentiment.

Looking into CZ83 for my girlfriend to shoot, so she doesn't burn through all my 22 ammo!  Then dies will follow, etc.

When I retire I may consolidate, but not sure why I would at this point.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

If you felt the need to consolidate handgun calibers, I think you could widdle down to 22lr, 9mm, 45acp, 38/357 and 44mag.  Covers the bases and all are commonly available.

Currently it is 22r, 9mm, 9mm Mak, .38 spl, .357 mag, 5.56/.223, .308, 7.62x39, and 12 gauge. I will be adding calibers as I want a 1911, M1 Garand, and plan to build a suppressed SBR in 300 blackout. I could even see buying a lever action in .30-30 in a few years.

... I have zero plans to consolidate anything.  Ever.  If anything, I will diversify more.   ;)

I agree. I still don't own anything that fires:

.22 WMR
.32 Auto
.32 H&R or .327 Federal
.270 Win
.30-30
.308 / 7.62 NATO
.30 Carbine
10 mm Auto
.40 S&W
.45-70

So there are a lot of options left.

Well that was quick. One less (or more) to worry about.
