Extended Barrel or Threaded barrel?
« on: January 05, 2006, 10:30:31 AM »
My state just became silencer friendly and now I am looking at my options.  Does anybody know where I could get an SP01 barrel that is extended and threaded?  Would it be possible to get the IPSC barrel and get it threaded?  I also would like to get one for a CZ75B and a kadet.  If these barrels are not available does anybody extend and thread a barrel?  I dont know if this can be done without screwing up a barrel.  Thanks for the help.

Tordado Tech or ADCO will extend and thread an existing barrel for you.

I am also wondering if anyone knows where to get an aftermarket or factory threaded barrel, which is why I bumped this topic.

sometimes if you call CZ-USA they have them..

No access to the aussie barrel? Wouldn't it be long enough? Seems like CZ could ship a few since there seems to be lots of interest. John

Call CZ USA, talk to Michael Eagleshield.  He is the head gunsmith.  Ask about buying and extended factory barrel and having it fit to your slide and then threaded.

Its in the neighborhood of $350 if I recall correctly, but it can be done.

You can buy an extended barrel from IGB or to buy the barrel of 75 TS in 9mm and then threaded it.

How did you know which one to get?  There are several, but I'm not sure which one I should get.  Does it depend on the silencer?

I called Gem tech and asked for the thread pitch specs.  1/2-28.

I called EFK and the only thing they wanted to be sure of is that I had the SP-01.  Apparently not everyone that places an order has a SP-01 like they think they do.  the SP-01 has a barrel with a 0.55" OD.
