CZ455 varmint. First shooting. Looking good so far.
« on: February 13, 2015, 09:21:20 AM »
I finally got to try my new CZ455 today. It was cold, and I couldnt get a good shooting position, but I got the scope sighted in at 56yards with RWS subsonic.
The difference in impact between these and HV rounds is way bigger than I'd thought, but I intend to use the subsonics in .22 and get a 17 hmr barrel for longer shots.
Pic shows the best group, but I'm sure they'll perform like this all day long from a bench - I was laying down in gravel  Most other groups came very close, but I called a lot of flyers, screwing them up a bit.
This Group is 7,5mm or 0.3 inches center to center. The rifle has about 150 rounds shot through it by now. No bedding yet, but it'll come

P.K. nice shooting. Great group. Is your rifle the 455 Varmint with the heavy barrel? If so would like to see a pic.

Me, too, for the picture.  CZ makes some beautiful rifles.  If I was still hunting these days I'd be in the market for good squirrel rifle.  My 10/22 shoots pretty decent, but it has no style or soul like a nice walnut stocked blued steel rifle.

And, that is a very nice group at that distance, it would be nice at 25 yds. but at 56 it is awesome.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
