I asked Dave at Magwedge for an update on the Kwikrail and here is his response:
Hi Pete
I never did try the ejector mod as the rails seemed to elicit few if any genuine complaints and as I produced the gen3 in short order.
They are listed for sale on my web page and functioned flawlessly when I tested them.

He also tells me changes include "A cut out over the ejection area and a side rail added."
