New Shadow!
« on: March 25, 2015, 08:33:23 AM »
I picked up my new SP01 Shadow yesterday from CZC. It was great to meet Stuart and deal face to face. I'm looking forward to getting some rounds through it this afternoon if I can leave the office a little early.
If it shoots anything like my other Shadows, I'll be a happy guy!

I envy anyone who can talk about their Shadows with the "s" at the end.
Don't mistake my high post count for knowledge or wisdom.   I just like hearing myself type.

I agree!  I liked my first Shadow so much, I picked up another!

(In reality:  the S.O. liked my shadow so much, she kept it as hers.  And I had to fork out the money to purchase another one...)

Nice. I have the same grips in the same color on my 75 shadow. I commend your taste in grips. I have been curious to see a picture of the black version of the DAA's installed. Thanks for the pic, good looking SP-01 Shadow.

Thanks. I just finished the trigger work tonight. I installed the CGW spring kit w/firing pin, a Type 1 disco and a CZ97 trigger I had in a parts box. I liked the old-style 85c triggers I put on the 75 Shadows, and the 97 uses the same trigger except for the limit screws. (which I don't use anyway)
Your 75 Shadow looks a lot prettier than mine. Mine is starting to show some wear from the countless holster draws from matches and dry fire. The SP01 will never again be as pretty as it is right now.  ;D

Indeed, i favor the old 85c trigger profile as well, i run them in a few of my CZ's. Heh, it may be prettier but that just means it is not getting run hard enough. I have yet to explore competition shooting, for now i am a range plinker. Down the road ill have to get off my keister and and give it a go. It looks like allot of fun.
