I see CDI went up on all their guns in the last day or 2. I was watching 3 and all 3 have higher prices now. Guess there was a price hike like other things.

Jim

I'm seeing this.  @ $360 + 25 ship, plus $35 transfer...

It just doesn't add up.  Honestly as trucked as some of these look, I was teetering at the low $300's price.  Mid 2's would have had me a lot more willing to hop.   Starting at $400-$420 on something that needs blasted to the metal and refinished... Nah.  I'll pay $150 more and have a brand new one.  Actually, not even.  Bud's has B's for $530.  Free ship, and you can even make an offer.

I guess if you really wanted a pre-B, or transitional this may be the only way to get one.  But I was after a cheaper base gun I could strip to build.

Anyone have a link to the CDI website?  I tried searching for it and all I got was a bunch of dead ends.

No website anymore, but you can google "gunbroker cdisales" -- the first result will get you there.

Found it.  Thanks for the directions.

Talk about fixer-uppers.  All the CZ's I've seen so far are in ROUGH shape.  I can see why you fixers like them so much.

I second that comment Omega7. Would be pretty cool though. That's the most used CZ's that I have seen anywhere. 50 to 100$ cheaper would reel me in. Still might :o

Exactly^^^^ Thought about one of the PCR's he gets in though. Would make a perfect truck pistol, wouldn't care if it got beat up and such.
As Mugga stated, I'd jump on any of them if a little cheaper but after shipping and FFL fees, still cheaper than what I can usually find around here. Got lucky and  came across my 75B last year with one tiny scratch for $350 OTD, so I enjoy looking for the diamond in the rough for right now.

I think I'll stick with the 75 Matte Stainless I got for 600 out the door.  He's got some great stuff but it's just not my speed.

I got a great 83 from them. I would probably take a chance on one if I hadn't already scored a pre-b a few years back from Robertson's Trading Post.

Not to derail things here at all, but I was looking through all the guns they have listed atm, and there are 9-10 B's without firing pin blocks in there.  Those should make nice starting points for a build, or just a nice shooter.  Modern updates, B magwell, better trigger.

I'm still looking for a cheap 75B for a project gun - cheap as in below $350 with no pitting - but haven't found anything with the right price/quality ratio. It's just my opinion, but all the CZs I see on Gunbroker seem to be priced $50-$100 too high.

Considering a new 75B can be purchased for $500, I'm at a loss as to why anyone would buy a used one for $450. The fact that they're not moving tells me I'm not the only one who feels this way - whenever a no-reserve auction comes up, LNIB seems to clear at around $400. The really beat-up guns should probably be listed below $300.

The omega is the cheapest cz $475 at buds. I'm thinking of a getting one. It has a new trigger system though. I like to wait a yr or two to see if it has any problems  being a new design.

I did a quick search and found forum posts from early 2009 about the 75B Omega, so it's been out for quite a while now.

As for used 75's... 'was searching for a couple of years but never found one in very good shape at an inexpensive price.  Just didn't (and probably still don't) exist.  Quality retains value I suppose.  :)

I'm thinking of buying one of CDI's surplus 75's (I assume these are the transitionals? I don't a hole for the FPB) to use with my Kadet 2. Will it fit?

My SP-01 and PCR both have CGW hammer springs, so using an inexpensive 75 with factory springs as a dedicated Kadet frame makes sense to me, but it's an expensive paperweight if it doesn't fit.

I wasn't sure whether to post here, or in the Kadet forum, but I figured it's better to continue an existing thread than start a new one.

The Kadet 2 works on pre-Bs and up. May require minor fitting like any other metal framed CZ 75.
