Greetings CZ fans, it's the first post for this very late-bloomer with handguns.

Despite twice watching "hickok45's" CZ-82 video on Youtube, with the slide locked Fully aft ( mag. then released), the trigger guard is very tight. It pulls straight down a tiny bit but snaps back into place....

Well, spotted a video from czfirearmsusa :), where it is shown that you first pull Forward on the trigger guard, in order to pull in down a bit.
Maybe the rep is named CJ (or TJ?). Thanks very much to him for a clear demonstration of field-stripping, and where to clean/lube. That's the best gun video I've ever seen regarding cleaning.

Make sure you pull your mag out first. A mag in the magwell will not allow the trigger guard to come down. I pop mine open with the slide closed. Be very careful about doing this and dont do it more than needed. The trigger guard can/will break at its thinnest point if the gun is taken down improperly or too many times. Take care not to put any extra pressure on the guard at the rear of the trigger. This is the weakest point. Trigger guards are $69 plus shipping if you can find them from CZ.

Pull down in such a way that you are not bending the guard in any way. It will click and lock in the downward position and then the slide can be removed by pulling it rearward and up at the back then slid off the front of the pistol.
