A 455 Varmint Combo Rifle
« on: May 15, 2015, 06:21:53 AM »
Ordered a 22lr Varmint barrel this past Friday(5/8/15) to go along with my 455 17hmr Varmint heavy barrel rifle. The new barrel arrived today(5/13/15) via FedEx/USPS. Like a kid in a candy store, opened the box all the parts accounted for and the barrel looks good. Test target looks great, hope to shoot that well.

In reviewing the instruction manual I noticed it has a warning statement not to use barrel unless it was properly fitted to the rifle by a gunsmith. The manual further states that a cartridge space gauge is also needed to check whether the barrel is to loose or to tight.

One question, to those who have ordered a 455 of any caliber then ordered another barrel, have you followed the procedure posted above. Thanks for your input.
