Questions for 455 owners/shooters
« on: May 31, 2015, 09:14:06 AM »
As an owner/shooter of several CZ rifles that includes a 455 varmint with two barrels (17hmr and 22lr) and the interchangeability of those same barrels; I have a some questions for the forum.

1) Have you ever wanted to shoot both calibers on the same day that you went to the range?

2) If you answered "yes" to the first question, how long did it take you to exchange the barrels?

3) If you answered "yes" to the first question, what method did you use to sight in the rifle after the exchange?

I only ask because I think that exchanging barrels at the range would be easy and fairly quick but sighting in after the exchange would present it's own situation.

What are the forum's thoughts?

Can't help w/ a 455, but I have a T/C Carbine w/ 2 bbls, a 17 hmr and a .223.  I have a scope on each bbl, it takes about 5 min to swap them and a very few more to check the zero on them.  They usually hold their zero's.  I have an after-market hinge pin that's a tighter than factory fit, however.   I'd suspect a 455 to be close to the same, a lot better than swapping one scope between them both..........
