The SA umm SA ..kinda

Since this is the SA CLUB, its also a place for 1911 or P-35 topics..if you don't want to expouse the
merits of your outstanding CZ75SA!!!

Some of you own 1911s and CZs, or want a 1911. I'm hearing more and more about the SA'
trigger s being comparable or even better than a tuned Colt's.

when i come across a good buy..i take notice. One from a country i dearly love..even more so.
A Czech shooter emailed me about the Sprinco system in CZ75s.

I just happened to be discussing Sprinco on the phone:)

A 'werwaardig' or 'Made In South Africa' product has come to my attention.
I've known about these SA made pistols , but never seen one up here.

I live in Ruger Country (Idaho), or CZ Land in my mind. However, the fact that
they are below $500.00 and Loaded with features like new 3-dot P-Ts.

That I.W.I has hundreds of them on "close-out"  intrigues me. Commander sized
and of reportedly good quality.

So, if you already have the CZs you want (ya sure:)  or want an economy priced
(IDPA LEGAL) .45 to go with your 75B MIL, and you have  97B or they are just
too large 4 u. take a closer look at the Griffon, before you spring for the Kimber.

I carried a 1911 gun for a long time. When not mandated to a issue duty wepaon.
it was the 1911-A1 (long trigger) or the Combat Commander for
me//but sometimes the .45 ammo was hard to find.Hence my liking the P-35 or
cz75 pre-B;)  after my first Cee-Zed i never looked back..wandered around, but
have came full circle.

The same qualities of the 1911, large and positive controls, reliablity and
durability are present with the CZ75, but you have a Selective Action
and higher capacity.

Only in recent years has the .45 ACP been manufactured in the RSA. The .45
ACP or .four-five has the same mystique for Afrikaners, as it does for those
on Georgia. 'awesome Stopping Power and a symbol of  America' to most
minds.I can remember when the CZ .45 first came out in ZA, it was greatly
anticipated.

In any event i have been looking toward a 10mm, not .45  in the 1911 pattern, but the
price on, and country of origin concerning Griffon turned my head.I see that is has
a ported slide, but is IDPA LEGAL..very nice;)

Of course..Hakan makes wonderful Custom Grips for the 1911s, too.
he gets a lot of inquiries about both CZ and 1911 grips. I can 'see
exactly why!

Some people flat-out love the 1911, and the .45 cartridge. I luv the Cee-Zed, and the
.10-shot .45 magazines makes the 97B the best Clintonized Capacity gun
i can think of.

However, it might be too big for some people's hands and the single stack 1911
is their only option.

The Griffon would get marks for P-Ts, (and being South African;) , and i'm told
a quality 1911 at a great price. Another bonus:the brunt of 1911 mags on the
market at dirt cheap!

IWI/SPRINCO's Griffon .45s look very nice..Wish i made the money you guys do.
I'd have Josh ship me one to Orofino Pawn:)

A Commander with my pet .45 load.the 200 gr Flying Ashtray is a very
comforting handgun.  the newer 200 gr +P load as favored by our RSA
buddy Tlrfiend..even better, ja!

i'd test the Griffon against my new 97B and the CZ75SA..when the spring
"thaw' comes along..

Maybe i'll get my dad or brother , even some of the local .45 nuts to buy one.
I'm happy with new Cee-Zeds and still plan to put even more money into them..

Have fun on the Griffon page  www.springco.com/griffon
