1st 5 shots 100 yds 455 FS
« on: June 16, 2015, 05:03:12 PM »
Upper left corner, shot w/ 2x7x28 Leupold that I can't [yet[ adj the eye relief on.  It measured .988".  I'd expected to see what I got on the next 5 on the bull.  Thought ya'll might enjoy it.......

neither group is bad for a 22lr at 100. Nice shooting.

What's the issue with adjusting eye relief?
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Nice shooting for the first shots.  Looks like there is some potential there.  What ammo?

Maybe the 455 FS's will shoot just as good as the 452 FS guns.  My 452 FS is probably my best shooting CZ.

It' a 17 hmr, not .22  Ammo is Hornady V-max.  The eye relief issue is I can't mount the scope far enough back......The front ring runs out of dovetail and the objective bell is tight to the ring.  I have an answer on it's way to me..........

The scope is parallax set for 60 yds.

I'm curios what your solution is because I've considered that scope for my 452 FS in .22lr.

If it won't work with standard rings I'd probably go in another direction.

Just fixed the eye relief on my 455 FS.  I got an aftermarket Weaver mount [today's mail] that has cap screws [won't mar the surface] and used low Weaver rings. I'll post a pic of it tomorrow.

It's shooting one hole groups at 30 yds, farthest range I have here......

Here's the rifle w/ the Warne QD Mediums:

As it is now:

The parallax factor [60 yds] w/ this scope doesn't seem to matter, fwiw.

Nice.  Do you have any trouble with check weld?

No.  It's just a tad lower.  When I adj'd the eye relief, I realized once I had a full field of view thru the scope I just remembered where my cheek was on the stock.  I can be looking thru the scope and once I see full field, that's it.   I'm really impressed w/ this scope.........

Nice shooting and great looking setup on your FS awshucks. IMHO, CZ rifles always look great whether one keeps the open sights, use peep sights or mount a scope.

Got a leupold 3-9 EFR that I'm going to put on my Lux to see how it mounts up. I really don't want to take the rear sight off.
