my CZ Trainer w/ Mueller 8-32 scope.... first target
« on: July 29, 2015, 12:07:48 AM »
I recently bought an inexpensive Mueller scope off ebay and mounted it on a Trainer I seldom shoot.  Very impressive at 25 yds at my home. range...see my target.  Will try it at 50 and 100 yds as soon as I can get to the range.  Ammo was Norma Tac.   I may try this rifle in our July 100 yd match....I don't think anyone has posted a target yet....come on guys!

Shooting with my kids and grandkids....that is a fine time.

Was thinking of picking a couple of bricks of the Norma Tac as I've heard it shot well. I have used the Norma Match with good results but it is higher priced. What kind of prices are you finding on the Tac?

Very nice, that's not just ammo choices, great shooting. Did you change your point of aim for the 32x group? It's right on and the others are down left.

Yes....I was adjusting the scope as I shot each bullseye.....started at 8x and went clockwise......finally got it dialed in on the last bull....at 32X.

I have two of the 8-32x44 TD scopes. One on a 455 Varmint set up for bench shooting, and the other is on a Brno #4. Both do everything I need them to do.

Allen in MT.......first bunch of ammo came from bullets.com..... price for Norma Tac is $5.50 per box.....Shipping for two bricks was $10.  I have to pay sales tax since they are located in my state.

Then I bought 2500 rds off Gunbroker for $6 a box shipping free though.

Who's rings did you use?

What model?

Low, medium or high?

Did you remove any of the original sights?

Thank you

Would you mind posting up a photo fo your set up? I have a 452 Super BRNO and have run into problems with mounting a scope due the tangent rear sight getting in the way. I would love to get a Mueller 8x32 scope for it......

Nice shooting regardless of the ammo.

Not a Mueller but here's my 455 Trainer with a 3-9x32 on it (http://www.presmainc.com/products/details/100036). Mounted the scope on a DIP adapter (http://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=156323&CAT=3655) using the rings that came with the scope. No need to remove the tangent rear sight. Target shows last 3 shot group (Remington Thunderbolt, 40 gr, LRN) when zeroing the scope.
