Approx. how much higher is the price for nickle-plated 83s?

These seem to be so rare in the US that I simply can't justify much of a surcharge.

Also own the nice CZ-82, two P-83s, the three Maks, a Sig 232, a WW2 Hsc and Sauer 38H.

Some people seem to think any 83 is extra valuable because they are no longer manufactured. They never seem to realize that they are not made because sales were slow and they are rare because no one wanted one in the first place. That's why you never see a lot of them, people who want one have one. Value is only what the next guy is willing to pay. Local dealer has had a really clean satin nickel for 8 weeks. Asking price is $349. The blue 83s are $300. Still over priced IMO for a heavy CCW piece in a weak caliber. I like the gun but it really is a range toy that new models and designs have surpassed.

I paid ~$350 for my like new nickle 83 on Gunbroker, and I'd do it all over again. It is my favorite shooter CZ pistol (of 6) simply because I can pull off fast and accurate follow up shots the best with it. I'll never part with it, it's that nice.

You have to decide what is important to you and how much you value it. I like nickle finish, love my CZ 452 Style in .22lr, and will never part with that either. Whoever gets them when I'm gone will hopefully appreciate them as well.

Valuation is a personal decision. I put a premium on nickle finishes because of their esthetics and durability. I can understand how some don't like nickle and wouldn't have it, but I prefer it if I can't have stainless. I hate rust and fighting it that much! Find what pleases you and get over the cost. Your joy is worth it.

It's been years since we visited Prague, so I can't quite pronounce how to say thank you. "Jakuwe": Similar to the Polish word...

This info is always interesting, and my confidence in Czech technology might inspire me to buy one--but the local Memphis area might not have any available which can be inspected before purchase.

Either a second CZ, or another 1,000-rd. case of 9x18 ammo. Already have approx. 2,300 rds. of this ammo-both for retirement and protection from our anti-Second Amendment politicians.

Just noticed that some of these nickle 83s are Not in .380 Auto,  but in .32.
