Question on differences between CZ 452 and 455 Ultra Lux
« on: September 27, 2015, 11:23:51 AM »
I'm saving for a CZ 455 Ultra Lux. The spec seems very similar to the CZ 452 Ultra Lux. How do they differ? Curious. Also didn't the CZ 452 Ultra Lux come in a left hand version? Would the the bolt have been on the left or was there an adapter?

Specs should be similar other than the 455 can switch barrels and calibers.

The 452 came in a few left hand models, but I don't think the UL was one of the versions.  Bolts are on the left.  As far as I know, none of the 455's are left handed.

A couple threads down there is a thorough comparison of the 452 and 455 in the American.  Most functional differences hold true for the UL length guns too.

As you read through it, think about what ammo you want to shoot, where you want to shoot, and what you want to shoot at.  Both are great guns, but have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Enjoy!

Lots of 452 Ultra Lux's on Gunbroker right now...'WholesaleHunter'  lists 75 of them at  $421.  The 455 UL runs about the same but sometimes I see it under $400 .  All I have are 452's (7) so I can't speak to the 455 series.
Shooting with my kids and grandkids....that is a fine time.
