There are two types typically -- the two screw version and then the AR tube version. Any works and opens up a much wider range of stocks...
*Some have noted issues with that stock's screw mechanism. In particular, it uses two screws to attach to the receiver. If I recall correctly, the first is polymer insert that screws into the receiver. Then there's an inner metal screw that attaches the tube tightly to that polymer insert. The issue I've heard of is that the polymer strips out making the stock unable to be attached... Unclear if to receiver or stock tube to polymer where that happens. I believe the polymer is screw straight in while the inner screw gets screwed in at an angle somehow, or perhaps the allen key hole is at an angle with screw straight?...
Also, that tube does contract and could pinch at the slide joint on the stock... Mako also makes a recoil stock where the latch looks like it faces backwards -- and the recoil reduction is within the stock itself. Unsure if they make for VZ58 or just for an AR tube...
