Cz455. Want a composite stock
« on: November 30, 2015, 08:39:38 AM »
What is best for hunting it's a 17 hmr with a 22 long barrel for swaps and I don't want to damage the wood

What should I get and why. Cost is not a big factor.

Thanks

Jb

CZ offers a model here in the States called the American Synthetic which has a plastic stock, not a true composite. They offer a composite, but it's for a heavy barrel and is more of a target stock and almost $700 USD.

Not sure if you can buy either stock where you are as CZ-USA does not export, and I don't see where CZ-UB offers replacement stocks. The composite is made by Manners for CZ.

Not a composite but Boyd's laminated stocks may be worth a look.

Composite for a sporter barrel? McMillan m40a22 is all you need. Full composite (not synthetic) but will set you back around $600 ish. Here is one I did awhile back with a Lilja barrel in 22 mag.
