Folding Charging Handle

I saw in a different thread that Manticore Arms mentioned something about a folding charging handle they are developing that could be out by the first of the year.  Since I did not want to hijack that other thread, I thought I'd start a different one.

I am going to be all over this when it comes out.  I like the idea of getting more purchase on the handle, but now the idea of a something sticking out from the gun that might get caught on things.

Manticore...do you guys have any pics or specs yet?

No pics or specs yet, still in R&D.   

It will be very similar to our Switchback charging handles for the Tavor and Steyr AUG- we have the design perfected, just have to adapt it to the Scorpion EVO.

Just checked out the Switchback charging handle for the Tavor on the website and am psyched to get something like that for the Scorpion.  It is it challenge to get a folding charging handle to stay deployed when the bolt is locked back with the charging handle on the Scorpion?

It uses a spring detent to lock the handle in the deployed position, so it will stay deployed with no issues.

I just want to make sure when you "HK slap" it down that it rides forward and folds OK  (it should, jut need to make sure we have the spring rates correct)

Oooo, folding charging handle...I like the stubby version of the one you guys make for the Tavor Sven. Very cool looking.

We will either base it off the Mini or the Micro for shape and size- haven't decided yet.

I can charge my STG with the micro even with gloves on no problem, I wouldn't go too big.
