VZ58 axis pins retainer clip
« on: December 31, 2015, 09:08:33 AM »
Hi folks!!! after building other rifles i finally get to build my first VZ58.I am using a orf receiver from AWO and i seem to have two issues.I plan ot get 922r trigger parts later.but trying to get the stock VZ sear in i don't seem to be able to pin it.Also there is no hole in the receiver for the toggle clip/spring that secures the two pins. Can i drill that hole and rivet it? or is that a possible violation? are there other ways to keep the pins from rocking out? Thanks folks. These look like such a sweet rifle

If I understand correctly what your asking and assuming your building a semi-auto...

The sear presses down on the leaf spring with the disconnector (which of course is attached to the trigger group) underneath the sear where it connects. There are three (3) cross pins in the receiver: one for the bolt/mag release (held in place by a locking "clothespin"); the trigger group cross pin (held in place by an e-clip); and the sear cross pin (also held in place by an e-clip).

There is a sticky at the top of this forum called "Are you new to the VZ58?".  There are several links and videos that cover these topics in detail.

CNCW sells c clips that fit at least the sear pin.  Should fit trigger pin too...  CNCW receivers allow for use of the toggle/lock lever you reference.

I remember watching this Youtube video many times, and I never knew what that locking pin mechanism ("sheet metal bar") was.  I figured it was something unique to the F.A. FCG.  Is this typical on all F.A. rifles or only on some?

If you buy a F.A. kit will it be included, and is that why the pinned hole is in the Czechpoint Sa. Vz.58 rifles?

The only receiver I'm aware of that as-designed allows for that is the CNCW ones.

I purchased a couple apex fa trigger kits that I believe included that piece.  I've seen NOS ones on ebay occasionally.

Yes, I would think it would/should be included on any demilled parts kit, but as you know those sometimes have extra/missing parts depending on if they came from a specific rifle or batch demilled parts bins...
