I did read that!  What threw me was both the B6P and K2P have the same length barrel, 3.8" just didn't think
there was that much difference in the length of the slides

???  The Full Size SAR B6P, which I have, has a 4.5 inch barrel.  The SAR K2P has a 3.8 inch barrel.
The Compact SAR B6P ( aka B6PC ) also has a 3.8 inch barrel.

Since you own the B6P and the K2P, is there that big of a difference in accuracy/recoil with a 0.7 inch barrel length difference? Since I only plan on using my gun at the range, I don't really care much for compactness, but it seems like the K2P is built better than the B6P on every other aspect from what I've read.

The shorter barrel on the K2P will give a bit more muzzle blast with some ammunition.  I do tend to shoot the B6P more accurately, but that's more related to ergonomics than quality of fit.
Recoil is about the same between the two.  I do find the shorter K2P faster to handle in action shooting drills.

Ah okay, cool. Thanks!

I guess I'll just pick whichever one is cheaper at the time since I won't be buying for at least another 3-4 weeks. Plus, I figure I'm gonna be a much bigger variable as a novice shooter.

Another question though... I thought the B6P and K2P have the same ergonomics since the frame is the same?

True, but slide profile enters into the ergonomic equation too.  Longer sight radius= easier accuracy.

That makes sense. I never really considered sight radius to be a factor in ergonomics.

At what distance do you notice that the longer sight radius really makes a difference? 25 yd?

50 feet is the max distance our indoor range provides and that's what I've tested it at.

The YING: The K2p's rear sight is user adjustable for both windage and elevation. I like this in a range gun and think it makes little difference in a home defense weapon. To me, this gives  better accuracy regardless of the longer sight distance on the BP.

The YANG: The B6P's sights are more snag free in a concealed carry scenario but need a special tool drifting the sight to make windage adjustments. You need a new sight if elevation is an issue.

Although I once owned a couple, I don't really have a SIGnature.

Just picked my new K2P from my LGS last Friday ;D. Even the guys working at the shop were impressed with it. I am looking forward to taking it to the range but that will have to wait. I am currently off work with a ruptured bicep and partially torn tendon :( I could only shoot this thing if my life depended on it right now. It wasn't the best timing for buying a pistol but when it went on sale at GAG for $265, I couldn't pass it up. Out the door, it was $281. A few of my buddies that own a lot of high dollar pistols are now looking to pick one of these up. Best bang for the buck (no pun intended ) going right now, especially when on sale. I wish I could have bought 2 of them. Just wonder how long before the price goes up and stays up on these.
