Steel magazines for CZ Scorpion?

Is anyone planning to make steel magazines for the CZ Scorpion?

I've heard of cracking issues with the polycarbonate.  I'm sure CZ will fix or has already fixed this issue, but I'd still prefer steel mags.

Any of the aftermarket guys here considering it?

I think Manticore is working on one's that are steel reinforced.

No idea, but I do have to say I've checked my mags, and haven't found any broken ones yet.

I haven't noticed any cracking in mine.

I'll tell you, though. I'm pretty impressed with them. Take a look at what Buffman did to them on one of his YouTube videos. He essentially froze fully loaded magazines, and dropped them lip downwards from about 10ft up onto a concrete floor. They resisted multiple drops before failure. I don't anticipate abusing them to that extent. If they can drop and survive getting thrown around, they're good enough in my book.

Mine make it to the range a lot too, twinky. Yes, it's a good time to buy them and keep plenty around. If the Scorpion remains as popular as it has been, you will see more aftermarket stuff like magazines pop up, BUT given the price of the original magazines, a manufacturer would have to work very hard to make a metal one cheap enough to compete yet reliable and durable enough to last.

I recently saw some cracked mag pics. Looked at all mine.
Everything that I load with 25 rounds was fine, 4 mags.
The one I loaded full and kept in the gun had some stress marks where cracks are known to happen.
Now it wasn't cracked but it was clearly stressed.

Do have a good pic next to a good mag to show the differences? I'd like to see what to look for.

Here is my mag next to another. Compare the feed lips in the middle of the photo that are touching side by side.
That stress line may be a new forming crack. I cannot feel a crack on the outside and cannot see it splitting on the inside.

This line in is the same area as I've seen some really badly cracked mags. I've heard that CZ had made a new gen of mag and was replacing cracked ones. I cannot confirm that though. These are from the very first 30 brought into the country, got them in FEB last year before they were on the CZ store site.

I haven't had any cracking as of yet and mine stay fully loaded....well actually a few of them have 29 rds in them. It was impossible to fit the last round in.

I took my range 20 rounder and purposefuly stuffed it full over and over again, to the top. Hard to get the last one in, but it worked perfectly every time. No damage so far, will try again soon.

I should note that these mags were loaded weeks at a time...what good is a bunch of empty mags

I have several in long term storage trials. In a few months they will be unloaded...rapidly...
