Thanks for posting that up in a new thread since it will get some on-topic replies before the thread is typically high-jacked. This was the topic of discussion on another thread in regards to the availability of surplus kits and prices of commercial S.A. builds.
Very interesting that this topic is being covered by TFB.
It appears all the cool 40s-50s era surplus weapons are showing up in MENA for the kick off of WWIII under the pretext of fighting AlCIAduh/ISIS/Segregate-Boogeyman-of-your-choice. So here is another former WARSAW Pact weapon that could end up be pointing at Russians.
The recent cache of about 5000 WWII STG-44 Sturmgewehrs in Syria was of great interest to me as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EsCle4ooM0I thought the Syrians would do much better selling those STG-44s off to a distributor for collectors and using the money to buy AK-47s, than to scrounge around trying to find Privi (PPU) or surplus 8mm Kurz ammo for them.
The nice thing about the vz.58s of course is that the mags don't rust, are durable, and the (7.62x39) ammo grows on bushes in MENA.
