New CZ83

Hi folks, I'm getting ready to pick up a CZ83 at my dealer (I bought a PCR last month and love it). I was wondering if anyone had used the CorBon 95gr. +P in their CZ83? If so, how did it go?  Also, any general comments from CZ83 owners concerning my new purchase would be appreciated.

Thanks

Man..first off CONGRATS..You just bought a great little gun...period.  Ive had the .380 and the Mak...I shot alot
of hotter loads in both..inc, the Corbon in the .380.  The CZ83 was built on a CZ Military Issue sidearm, the CZ82 in the Makarov caliber, it will take the punishment of Corbon for its lifetime and probably be ready for more.

Let see...the 83.  It has one of the best triggers of ANY d/a gun produced, good sights, great capacity, concealable/smaller, dependable doesnt begin to describe the two I had, very very accurate, best "natural pointing" gun Ive shot...(thats alot) easy to clean.....and its a CZ :D

Anything I missed?  There are lots of better minds than mine to fill you in on the rest...enjoy your gun and the forum.
Shoot well

Hello, sir.  In my opinion, unless it's got to be as small as possible for really deep concealment, you have purchased the very best .380 made, regardless of price.  As has been noted earlier, the 83 has an extremely good DA and SA pull and I rather like it's being capable of cocked and locked carry.  Mine has proven very, very, very reliable and very, very, very accurate.  Sights are usable at speed and the little thing's just plain fun to shoot.

It will stand up to lots of shooting and CZ backs it products very well...never a bad thing.

Best.

True. With the modern +P loads i'll opt for my CZ83  over
a BHP or other gun if i need something smaller than my
customized '75.I don't see a great advantage of the 9mm
out of a short barrel(G26) over the .380 +P or 9mm MAK
JHP.I know the power differnece is there..just think the
rapid fire recovery with the CZ83 is a real winner.

The smooth action and accuracy, combined with solid feel
really make it shine. A hi-cap and nites make it even
better.

OK Guys.
I'm sold now for sure. Especially about the CorBon and the +P info.
ut83, if you're not getting commissions from CZ ,you should be.

I'm picking up my 83 today.  Can't wait to shoot it! You guy's are making feel real good about my purchase.  I really like my PCR.  I would have never know about the quality of these great guns if I didn't accidently hit this site on a search.
