SA dimension question
« on: May 21, 2016, 04:04:21 PM »
I'm getting a Privateer Leather Crossbones holster made for my SA. Wes and I are exchanging emails about differences between the SA and 75B. Apparently nobody makes a blue gun for the SA, but he has one for a 75B. I was looking at a blue gun seller's site and noticed the blue gun for the SP-01 Shadow. It has the full slide out to the muzzle, upswept beavertail, and lowered ambi safeties like my SA does.

My question is this:
Are the dimensions of the frame, slide, and trigger guard the same for the SA and the Shadow?

I realize they differ in accessory rail, sights, mag length, and FPB.

If the slide and frame dimensions are the same then a Shadow blue gun will work for an SA.
When the knock on the door said “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,” naturally I thought it was a delivery…

As far as I know, there are three versions of the "Shadow"
The SP-01, the CZ and the CZ75 Shadow
The B-SA is the same as the CZ75 Shadow
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

In all of the leather holsters I have the SA will fit into the standard 75/75B holster. The only difference is the full size lower portion of the slide and most leather holsters will accommodate this subtle change without a problem.

Thanks for the info. Good to know leather is forgiving enough allow for the slide differences.

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but this is specific to my question.
delphidoc, did you get your holster from Wes? If so, how did it work out? I just got my SA, and was wanting a holster to accommodate both the SA and 75B. Was just about to go on the Privateer web site.
Thank you in advance.
