I finally got an optic. Now some of you are going to look at this and say...

Is that a $110 red dot on a $2,000 rifle? Yes, yes it is. I did it for several reasons, number one being my gun budget is SHOT, (pun intended), for a long time now, and two a practical reason. I have had the Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on the vz-58, the CZ %27 and the Scorpion for years and it has really proven itself to me as a dependable performer. Admittedly, I am not an "operator" nor do I play one on TV. My optic equipped firearms get hauled to the range and back, and rarely out to go hunting. I don't suit up and go patrol the border, so I don't save up for the most expensive accessories I can find - no Trijicons for this fat old man! I couldn't justify buying an optic that costs more than the firearm, either!
This is the Bushnell TRS-32 from the AR Optics line. It seem at first blush to be made very well, rock steady mount, BRIGHT dot, easy to use. I will have to put a dot of white paint on the brightness line, so I can make absolutely sure it's off without having to look through the tube. Speaking of, that big 30mm tube is really easy for these old eyes to pick up right up to the shoulder and yes, the iron sights cowitness if need be. So far, with just simple mounting, I'm happy. No, I didn't get to the range to sight it in, but I will very soon, very soon. VERY soon.... 8)

Why does this picture remind me of a Moody Blues song....?

Looks good brother! No optic snob over here. I'm running a $200 Vortex 1-6 on my Scar and it serves it's intended purpose beautifully!

Looks good! I say buy what you can afford and justify. I personally run a Trijicon MRO on mine. Got it from kygunco for $378. Hard to beat at that price! I run a Vortex PST Viper 1-4 on my Scar 17. I also run a PA MDA on my B&T APC9... A $2100 gun with a $160 red dot lol but they are hard to beat for the money!! I plan on getting the FDE Bren Carbine soon! Keep an eye out a lot of cool accessories coming out for the Bren.

Should serve you very very well!  8)  Congratulations!  :)

Should I acquire a Cz805, I already have a few scopes I could mount on it.

I'm running the Hammers series Dot sights on my Vz2008 and my Egyptian AKM, and over about 4 years now, they've served just fine. They were $70 each off of ebay.

Vz2008 with Hammers Red/Green Dot Sight on BoneSteel mount                                   Eyptian/Maadi AKM with Hammers T-Dot Sight mounted on UltiMak Optics Mount
