VZ58 pistol availability
« on: June 03, 2016, 05:45:18 PM »
Been a CZ fan for a long time but for some reason, the 58 hasn't caught my attention until lately. Probably assumed it was simply an AK - my bad. I was searching for a pistol with the intent of grabbing one for SBR conversion before 41P hits. Nothing in stock - is this no longer made? Any suggestions on options to acquire? Many thanks in advance.

The pistols are batch built, two or three times a year.

Best thing to do is go to the Czechpoint USA website and subscribe to their email newsletter.  They always announce the availability new arrivals.

When they show up, put one in the cart and buy it.  Make sure you have an FFL lined up ahead of time so they can send their FFL information in.  Or, if you have a favorite FFL, just call them up when the pistols are in stock and have them order one.

You need to be quick, they generally only get a handful in at a time and typically sell out in 2-3 days.

Be patient and prepared, and you will be successful.  Although, they had some in stock about a month ago and I would be surprised if any show up before July.

Good luck, I really enjoy mine.

what Howlin said...

...plus online resale like Gunbroker, and there are 3 listed there right now. One in 5.56 and two in 7.62x39.

These three are the stubby 8-9"(?) barrel models like Howlin has.  I prefer the 12" barrels (carbine), although Howlin's looked pretty accurate and easy to control in 2Gun.  Definitely a flame belcher.

After you acquire one, have your Gooberment Forms and 200$ ready, because your going to want to get that tax stamp to SBR that  :D
