805 Bren PS1 Stock Options

Hey all,

Recently joined after reading everything and finally got my Bren. I'm aware of the specific 922r package that CZ sells. But I've also found a number of separate CZ stocks on places like Gunbroker, things like the stock that comes with the 922r kit and the fixed length skeletonized stock. My question is: for those separate stocks, is there a separate adapter/part that is needed for those? Or are they meant to go right onto the upper receiver?

Mounting an OEM stock or an aftermarket tube adapter to the 805 Pistol requires replacing the pistol's rear head with the carbine style rear head, which is what the stock or the adapters fit directly to...  look here:

To mount a stock on the pistol if you are going to SBR it ---- you will need to purchase what is called the "Rear Head" ---- which runs between $35-50.00 depending on where you buy it.    They are on the CZ USA Website and GunBroker.    No matter what type of stock you put on it, you will have to have a "Rear Head" of some sort----it replaces the rear head that is now on pistol and just has a sling attachment.     If you are talking about the carbine, it already has the rear head mounting the stock, but if you wanted other than factory stocks, you would have to get a rear head compatible with that stock (and would probably come with it anyway)

Gotcha. I have studied the back end a bit and am definitely familiar with the sling mounts on both sides of the current butt end of the pistol. So, sounds like with rear head and stock itself, it will look like a sandwich of upper receiver, rear  head, then the stationary pivot portion of the folding stock itself. Just what I needed to know!
