I want a CZ concealed carry gun, but know nothing, help me out here...

I've carried a Kahr PM-40 for years.  I shoot it every few weeks, then let my wrist heal up before the next bullseye match.  I had a PM-9 and it was much more pleasant to shoot but I sold it to a friend's wife. 

So, my question.  Is a Rami with a decocker just a scaled down 75BD?  Not that I have to have a decocker model.  What I want is something narrower than a P-07 and smaller in both dimensions.  The P-07 if fine for open carry, but a little bulky for concealed.  The PM-40 is the perfect size but I just want something more similar to what I shoot all the time, which is a 75B/97. 

The Compact appears to be similar to the P-07 in size, maybe a little thinner, just guessing as I haven't checked the website dimensions yet.  I am thinking the Compact wouldn't be much advantage over the P-07. 

So, what do you Rami fellows recommend?  A Rami?

That is the choice I made. RAMI BD (decocker) with a StealthGear IWB and StealtGear OWB. Ready to go.

Have been carrying a Shield - wanted something better and purchased a CZ 2075 Rami bd, as well.  Still trying to determine the holster type, but looking forward to shooting and carrying it.  My son has several and swears by them.

The Rami is a little smaller and lighter than the P-07, but it is still a hefty little gun.  My first test fire of a CZ was a P-01 and I fell in love with it, but it is too big and heavy.  I test fired at least six other brands and ordered the Rami BD without a test fire.  I love it!  I am a newbie to handguns and already clearly prefer metal over polymer and the Rami grip is perfect.  Smaller and lighter would be easier for concealed carry, but I'm willing to take the extra weight because I love my Rami so much!

RAMI w/ manual safety for me.  In regards to your question, the non-BD RAMI is kind of a scaled down CZ75B.  Same action, SA/DA. Can be carried cocked and locked in SA or thumb the hammer to halfcocked for DA first shot.  I found the manual safety version for quite a bit less than the decocker version as well. 

Yes, it is heavier and fatter than my Shield and doesn't get as much carry time because of it, but I just LOVE the way it feels in the hand, way it shoots and the way it looks.  My Shield I don't care if it gets scratched, dinged, dropped or whatever.

I conceal and carry everything from a P-09 down to a Rami, you can conceal pretty much anything it really isn't that hard. At the moment my two primary carries are the P-09 and PCR, I rarely carry the Rami, it's to small for my taste but it does have it's uses.

For a Factory New pistol, the 2075 BD is going to be more expensive than the safety version, since the BD comes from the Factory with Mepro Tritium Night Sights.

I haven't started carrying the RAMI (waiting for the DPRI to send me my permission slip), but I highly recommend them as a great shooter for the size. Anywhere nearby you can try one?

Rami decocker for me.  I've got a PCR also so depending on the season or clothes I can carry either.  My Rami goes in a SHTF  IWB at about 4 o'clock.

Thanks for the input.  I've tabulated the dimensions and now understand what I am up against.  Even a Rami is 0.7" taller and 1.0" longer than the Kahr PM-40.  And 1/4" thicker.  The P-07 is 1.8" longer, 1.3" taller, and 1/2" thicker without the Sugru than a PM-40.  No wonder I felt a little bulked up with the P-07 under a sports shirt.  The SDP and the Compact don't offer much on paper at least over a P-07. 

I will see if I can find one locally to handle.  I think it is my only choice for a small CZ.  The Kahr is great to carry, Hell to shoot.

The Rami....although I like it, does not fit my hand well.  Sort of like the Beretta Nano I had.  Nice gun but not comfortable in the hand.  My SD9VE feels very good in the hand, but my favorite is the CZ compact clone I have.....the C100 Tri Star.  It seems to be the exact grip, weight (slightly more than the SD9) and balance for me.

A CZ 83 is a bleep fine option as well.  It's probably more accurate that you can shoot it, with 12 rounds of .380 ACP.
