The DA pull of 5 lbs is in Maine with many pistols. Glock is 5.5 lbs. For me, if I am in a self defense situation and have chosen to pull the trigger then the SA pull weight makes no difference.

I know Bro....my EDC is a M&P 9c with 5lb trigger pull. So i think a 5lb pull on a Rami, a LONG 5lb trigger pull at that, is pretty bleep sweet if you ask me. But yea, I switched back to the blue spring so trigger pull now reads DA 6lbs 8ozs SA 3lbs 5ozs. I actually talked to CGW yesterday to place an order for the short reset lever. I forget the guy's name but we talked for awhile about what I've done to the gun and what else I could improve. But he straight out told me, guys that own compact CZs would kill to have a 100% reliable DA pull under 7lbs. So that's pretty cool. I think the next upgrade will be a race hammer to make the break a bit crisper.

The point about the trigger pull being too light is an often argued issue in CCW/legal circles. The idea is that a prosecuting or plaintiff's attorney will seize on the idea of a modified trigger in a shooting and use it to whip up the frenzy of a jury about "modified/tactical/custom/hair trigger" or some such nonsense. My attorney advised me not to modify any carry guns for this reason. It is not the actual weight compared to other carry weapons, it is the fact that the trigger was modified that sets these folks off.

So, your mileage may vary, swim at your own risk, etc.

A lightened trigger makes a shooter more accurate. That's just a fact. Let's face it, 99.99% of gun owners will never have to use their firearms in a life or death situation. If I fall into that .01% (knock on wood) that must defend my life with a gun, then I want my best chances to win that fight. I'll worry about the legal ramifications after. Rather be alive to be prosecuted then dead.

My next cz project is an SP-01 that I'll be upgrading for a friend.

Wish me luck!
