My CZ or VZ-46
« on: August 19, 2016, 12:31:38 PM »
Here are the pics.  The gun started out as a Czech VZ-46 but ended up as a East German VoPo gun hence the Crown N barrel and locking block. All the other parts are Czech parts such Spreewerk slide and frame and all the internal frame parts parts. The Czech Lion and the VoPo daisy have been peened out.

Many countries pressed WWII capture P38's into service after WWII, as they were so well made.
Also, there were some bootleg copies made in various countries.

In the first link of your post is a section on the CZ-46 Serial 1156 that is the gun in my picture.  I own it.

Long before there were Cz's and other nice 9mm's, I had a long association with P38's, and often carried one.

My 1936 Mauser Luger and AC 44 Walther P38

My three P38's.  Old Pic. I will retake this pic with my newer Camera.

I had to check my safe to make sure my 36 Luger was still there. Hehehe...
