Canik TP9 V2 Replacement Sights
« on: August 31, 2016, 09:51:18 PM »
I am looking for sights for the Canik TP9 v2 I recently purchased. Read that S&W fits the front and Glock fits the rear. Any of you have confirmation on this or suggestion as to what will fit?

Well after doing a lot searching and measuring I have determined that the S&W M&P front sight will work. To further substantiate this theory I ordered one from Dawson Precision and installed it. The dovetail needed a little fitting. The ribbed area towards the rear of the slide needed to be filed off due to the fact that the F/O sight is much longer that the OE. If you go slow and take a little bit at a time and continue to place the new sight along side the slide to see how close you are to the proper amount of removal, you will very pleased with the job. This is for the TP9v2.

whitecap, I don't know if this will help or not but I have a TP9SA and contacted century arms about the sights and this is their response. I'm not sure if the TP9v2 is the same as the TP9SA but hopefully this helps...

Good morning,
We do not sell sights for this firearm, but it will accept S&W M&P front sights and GLOCK 43 rear sights.
Thank you"

Any pics white cap? Considering getting this gun in the future, but will prob end up with a P07 or the P10c. I'd like another duty gun though.

I thought the TP9 V2 front sight was pinned? Got a pic?

So I wanted the straight answer and the folks at Canik are pretty forthcoming with information. The only question they asked me was regarding the front site. I sent them photos as well; by my description of the front site mount style they told me my front site is an M&P and the rear is a Glock 43. This is for the TP9SA. Apparently there are two different style mounts for the front site on this weapon.

My TP9SA is a little older.  I replaced my rear sight with a CZ75 rear sight due to my sights being regulated low.  (Point of impact was significantly below point of aim.). My front sight has a dovetail that runs fron to back and has a pin at the rear of the sight to hold it in place.  Changing the rear sight was easier than replacing the front.

This is the best picture I can come up with. You can see that the F/O is longer than the original sight. The TP9v2 is not pinned. It is a dovetail. Hope this is enough to give a representation of how the sight looks.

Copemech: I ordered and installed the Dawson Precision 021-298. It's .200 tall and .110 wide. I measured the height of the original front sight from the top of the sight to the top of the dovetail and got one from Dawson that was very close. I wanted to go to a narrower front as I like to see light on each side . The width is purely subjective and personal preference.

Hello All!
I am looking for the Dawson sights for my TP9 V2.  I ran the part number from a previous post, but it brought up nothing on Dawson's website.
Any help would be welcomed!
