Of the 40,000 S&B primers I purchased awhile back, I've shot over 12,000 without a hitch, all in handguns. I have another 5,000 Small Rifle S&B primers that I've yet to load, but I expect no problems with them.
They are a little flatter in construction, so they have to be seated properly, which simply means to the bottom of the primer pocket to set the anvil into the primer pellet. My "aim for" seating depth is -.004" below flush.
