Hey all, I am a new member here. I mostly hang out at Calguns living in CA. Anyway, I am a CZ fan and really like CGW's work! I just wanted to share my newest CGW gun with you all. First of all, this is not an "official" CGW model like the Copperhead but it is a beautiful pistol that Scott built for me and worthy of sharing.
I asked Cajun to do the following:
- Defensive Carry Package with all the Cajun Spice!
- 7510X Barrel Bushing
- Single Action Only Conversion with the 6SAO Straight Trigger (FPB Removed)
- Barrel Crowned and Blued
- Mill the slide & install the LPA Adjustable Rear Sight aka Shadow Target Sight
- Fiber Optic Front Sight with the Green Rod
- Shadow Extended Safety on both sides
- Extended Magazine Release
- Stainless Steel Guide Rod
- "Black Shadow" Engraved in Vladimir Script
The work came out to just a hair over $820 plus the shipping and it was worth every penny! I know the engraving may not be for everyone but that is the beauty of having a gun customized, you can do whatever you want to make it yours. There are thousands of other SP-01s and Shadows, but there's only 1
BLACK SHADOW! I am a CGW Fan and this is my 3rd Cajunized gun, but it won't be my last as my 97b just got to West Monroe and is patiently waiting to get the Cajun Spice! Thanks again to Scott at CGW for the Black Shadow, you da man!
Ok, enough with the talk, now for the pics! I love this shot! I had originally wanted a hard chromed barrel like my Copperhead but I'm glad I took CGW's advice and blued the barrel to match the rest of the blacked out theme.

3 Pound trigger with a 1mm reset, couldn't ask for anything more! The trigger has very little take up and is like a glass rod when it breaks. The reset is right there as well, ready for the next shot.

Now its time for a shootout between the Black Shadow and the Copperhead that David built for me!
I had a chance to get to the range a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately, it was really busy so I wasn't able to get a bench with a target stand to put it on paper so I was a bit bummed. I did shoot a ton of steel targets and had a great time with my best friend and his CZ collection. The Black Shadow shot perfectly without any issues. I had a few different types of ammo: Winchester 115 grain "White Box", 124 grain NATO and 124 grain S&B. No problems with any of it. It was shooting a bit high but I forgot to bring a flat blade to adjust the rear sight. Oh well, I'll just have to get back out there on a less busy day to put it on paper so I can see if the bushing makes much of a difference. I still had a blast and enjoyed shooting the steel plates. Next range day in a couple of weeks so I'll have another update.
My CZ Collection: All are fully Cajunized except for the 97b which is waiting in Lousiana as we speak (or type).

My Range: SLOSA on Highway 1 just south of Morro Bay. I love this place! I can easily tag the zombie at 50 yards all day long with any of my guns. I can also get on the 75 yard plates with a few shots out of every 10. 100 yards is definitely tough and basically impossible for me.

My buddy who is also a CZ fanatic just got a Cajunized SP-01 as well. It is an incredible gun! DCP, Cobalt frame, HC'd barrel, SAO conversion. It already had work done by CZ Custom, but he liked the CGW trigger work better so he had them redo it. It shoots like a dream and I love the color combo!

Ok, hope you all like the pics!
