To the followers of this thread:
I now have a major problem. I see the number of available pistols slowly diminishing and I want another for my future self to always have this wonderful fit and feel. I want to delete all related posts so enough remain in stock that I can raise funds and buy another.
Don't worry too much. In over a month, less than 90 have sold. There are at least 380 or more left out there just on Gunbroker, and even Kentucky Gun Co and Buds both still have a bunch of them, as well. You probably have a couple or few months to get your green beans together for round two.....
You probably do need another, since you have two hands!

No one wants an idle hand..... I'm the same guy, I believe in having multiples of anything I find inspiring....
I was surprised to find that my shooting friends don't like the extra heft of the steel frame, and tend to prefer the lighter P-01 variant with its alloy frame. Not me. I may be in the minority, but I prefer the extra weight and the recoil management it provides, as well as its pointing and handling characteristics. The extra ounces don't hamper me for carry purposes, as I've carried full sized 1911's, Sigs and CZ's for a long time. I've also owned Sigs with alloy frames, where the steel slides began eating at the alloy rails no matter how well the guns were cared for, maintained, serviced, cleaned, and lubed with costly synthetic greases. The alloy also gets dinged and chewed up much easier than steel. So alloy frames just aren't my bag. I have no idea how well the CZ alloy compact frames hold up, but if stainless guide rods start chewing the frame up inside, I can't imagine how a steel slide stop pin wouldn't begin hammering at the slide stop pin holes in the alloy frames....For me, having the choice, for the money I'll stick with steel...
