I don't remember, and w/o re-reading the entire thread again... Do you have an extended firing pin installed already?

I do have the extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin spring. When I chatted with Cajun Gun Works they said that due to machining tolerances every pistol is different and some run all ammo no problems while others have some light strikes like mine did... Wish mine was like your SP-01...

By chance, did you measure the hammer spring installed length on the compact? Would be interesting to see if it differs from both the compact & full size, both hammer cocked and decocked postions. Then compare the spring pressure differences...

I haven't... Tonight I'm gonna swap my safety and take some measurements so I'll check then and report on it.

I have a couple of TS left-side safeties coming, as well.  They were intended for other projects, but I'll try one of them in my SP Compact.  I like the standard SP-01 D style ambi safety, but I can confirm that it obviously won't fit the SP Compact because the frame walls on the SP Compact are too thick.  Not digging the thin safety in the SP Compact, and I think the left-side TS safety will be an upgrade despite the fact that it looks like it may hang over the raised frame ledge along the bottom edge of the safety.  The grips I am using should keep this from being an issue, though.

I also don't like how far the slide lock lever (slide stop) sticks out on the right side of the frame. The frame is chamfered for a much shorter piece...

I noticed this exact same thing.  So, while examining and comparing the safeties between by SP-01 Compact and my Custom Tactical Sport, I noticed that the slide stops of the SP Compact and TS looked identical.  I tried them in the opposite guns, and they are in fact identical. The SP Compact is wearing a Tactical Sport slide stop.

My though is that a slide stop from a standard alloy P-01 may work even better for this SP Compact gun. It would give even better access to the slide stop, and would holster better since I assume the slightly shorter P-01 slide stop will not protrude as far out the other side of the frame.

This brings me to two questions, since I do not have a P-01 here to borrow the slide stop from.....:

1) Will the P-01 slide stop fit and function correctly in the steel frame SP Compact, while also not protruding as far out the other side of the frame ? (which I assume it will), and, if so......
2) Since the P-01 slide stop has a longer actuating lever, will the longer P-01 slide stop's lever be just short enough to clear the front of the Tactical Sport safety I am planning to install on the left side of my SP Compact.......?

Inquiring minds have to know.  I'm thinking my last two mods to my SP Compact will be a P-01 slide stop and a Tactical Sport left safety, if they fit properly and play well together.....

Great find! I'd like to know the answer too!

PS I threw my Tactical Sport safety in and here's the thread for it.

While I'm not in love with it hanging over the ledge on the frame ( I could fix that with my belt sander...) I love how much lore functional it is! But I do want to see if someone tried a shadow safety, if they have the ability to fit. This does hang low and almost get in the way of my left hand. But I don't have the lore tactical shooting stance with shoulders as high and left hand rolled as far up and forward. (not bagging that, it just may get the left hand on the safety). Anyways, hope this helps others and hope to hear more testing.

I have looked at a few different safeties out of my various CZs.  It looks like the ambi Tactical Sport safety is the only unit that will fit, because the frame wall thickness on the SP Compact is the same as on the TS,  and the resulting location of the sear lug on the pivot shaft of the TS safety puts the sear lug directly under the sear contact arm where it belongs.  I do not know of any other widebody ambi safety assembly that is also designed for thick frame walls.

I'm really looking forward to installing the TS left-side safety on the SP Compact.  My grips come up high with an outward swell toward the top, so the bottom of the TS safety dipping below the extended side of the SP Compact's widebody frame should not be a problem with my setup.

I also tried a Shadow extended slide stop just to check how far back the lever would go in relation to the safety.  I actually liked the more forward location of the stock slide release along with the protruding TS safety, so I will be leaving the stock slide stop and just installing the TS safety left side.

I swapped out the P01 slide stop into the SP01 Compact with no problems. I ordered a Rami slide stop that is supposed to fit the Shadow to see if it fits. When you go to the CZ website to buy a slide stop they only sell one for all the compacts - fits P01, PCR, and 75 compacts, 9mm and 40. I would have bought one, but I wanted to be sure I was getting the same style that my P01 had. Then I stumbled onto the Rami slide stop that some apparently use on their Shadows. I'm thinking that most CZ slide stops are interchangeable.

This will be interesting to see how these slide stops fit and how you all like them. The more I dry fire the more I like the safety. Gonna take this out tomorrow and feed it another 100 or so rounds. Have the moly grease on it now. Not expecting anything out of the ordinary now, just lots of pure shooting enjoyment!

Just ran another 300 rounds through my SP01 Compact - no problems whatsoever. I ran 250 147gr RN through and another 50 rounds of 147gr. FM XTP JHP as well. I think she's good to go for EDC.

Dang, I'm jealous! I only got to put another 100 rounds through mine today. Had the 13 lb hammer spring in it again and had no issues with S&B primers. Anyone planning to try testing groups and then installing the CGW bushing?

I'll be shooting two of my compacts tomorrow, this SP Compact being one of them, and depending how the groups go with several different types of ammo, I will consider whether a bushing experiment is warranted at all. I tried a bushing on my Custom Shadow Tac II and it had very little effect, whereas the the CZC accu bushing I had installed on my Shadow T made a huge improvement, cutting groups in half.

If these guns shoot anything like their test targets suggest, I won't need to experiment with bushings. The targets that came with my last two Compacts are some of the best 25m targets I've seen from ANY stock CZ compact.  These......
