I was wondering if i bought one of these if i could convert it to sao like the 75b SA?  What parts would i need?
Thanks

Just did that exact thing a few weeks ago. Here's what I ordered from CGW to do it. You also need either a starter punch or spring-loaded center punch.

5SAO      Single Action Only Aluminum Trigger (your preference)
TR-PIN    Floating Trigger Pin
20C        Hammer Spring Strut Compact (so you don't have to drive out the pins for the disco and old hammer)
RHK        Race Hammer Kit (your preference)
HPIN       Hammer Pin
SRS-1     Short Reset System

I'm also considering converting to SAO just to experiment. Wouldn't you also need a sear spacer to remove the lifter and lifter spring?

SAO Conversion Parts:
Must Order Parts:
1- SAO Trigger
https://cajungunworks.com/product/5sao-single-action-aluminum-trigger/
https://cajungunworks.com/product/straight-single-action-aluminum-trigger/
https://czcustom.com/cz-75sa-tactical-sports-single-action-only-trigger-black-al.html

EDIT: This is necessary unless you are removing the FPB system.
2- Spacer to fill space from Firing Pin Block Lifter Arm
https://czcustom.com/cz-75b-firing-pin-lifter-spacer.html
https://cajungunworks.com/product/s-spacer-sear-spacer/

Basically Essentials - To Add Parts:
1- Floating Trigger Pin
https://cajungunworks.com/product/tr-pin-cgws-exclusive-floating-trigger-pin/
2- Reduced Power Trigger Return Spring
https://cajungunworks.com/product/rp-trs-reduced-power-trigger-return-spring/
3- Hardened Firing Pin Retaining Pin
https://cajungunworks.com/product/61100-tempered-spring-steel-firing-pin-retaining-pin/

In My Opinion Also Minimum Essentials for a great SAO Trigger - To Add Parts:
1- Reduced Power Firing Pin Spring
https://cajungunworks.com/product/rp-fps-reduced-power-firing-pin-spring/
2- 15 Lb Hammer Spring
https://cajungunworks.com/product/hs-15-gold-15-hammer-spring/
3- Competition Hammer or Race Hammer
https://cajungunworks.com/product/production-legal-czc-competition-hammer/

With those parts (Competition Hammer) and some polishing you should get an incredible 3 lb Single Action trigger. Race Hammer gives a little heavier pull... maybe 3.4 lbs? Get the reduced power firing pin block spring and you'll drop some more weight.

A SAO gun with the safety down doesn't have any safety feature at all if the FPB lifter is removed. I leave my lifter and spring on all my CZ guns for safety reasons. I might carry or have in my console any of these guns so for me I don't think it's a good idea to remove them.

There's a way to manually lower the hammer and still have the FPB protecting against a negligent discharge- pull and release the trigger while holding the hammer back, then lower the hammer once the trigger finger is off the finger.

As of yesterday, I have 1,050 rounds through my "SP01" compact with zero problems. Absolutely no regrets. I think it may be time to clean it (hasn't been cleaned since the cleaning I gave it before shooting it).

I have to start all over again. A month ago, I had the sights changed to night sights. The new gunsmith (who is no longer working there) scratched my gun. The owner bought me a new one and it just came in last week (I picked it up Thursday). I haven't shot it yet. The old one was just starting to smooth out (I decided to leave it stock, for now). Back to square one...

Ok guys, here is the thing. I finally got a hold of one. And while I like the gun overall, I still find it slightly lighter than my CZ clone Canik P100 which all steel as well. So, the weight does not bother me at all. Gun feels good as do all CZ's. Trigger is neither bad or great out of the box.

HOWEVER....

The safety is garbage on this gun. Utter garbage. Too thin, first of all. Like a cheap part. It engages and especially disengages much easier than any CZ I own with a manual Safety. So much so, that I wouldn't leave it in SA with safety up.

Can the safety be replaced, or has anyone done it yet? If I can't upgrade this safety lever, I think I'm going to sell it.

I've put extra-strength safety detent springs in all all my CZs. Helps quite a bit.

I saw on your scratch thread that you bought Trijicon Bright and Tough sights. Please let us know how the POI/POA is when you get to shoot it.

I've been thinking about putting TFX sights on my SP-01 Compact. I've got them on most of my other guns. I've read varying reports on whether POI = POA on Compacts, though.

POI/POA was very accurate on the scratched one, which is another reason why I was so upset - it made me look like I knew what I was doing. LOL  I'm hoping it's the same on this one. I probably won't shoot it until the weekend, though I'm thinking about going tomorrow. I'll report back when I do go.

Hello all! Just a newbie here, though not entirely new to CZ: I also own an old cz 82.

Anywho, I knew I was going to be in the market for a cz 75 some day after just picking one up at a gun show. So a few weeks ago I finally got to shopping around and, to my despair, noticed that all the full size 75B's and SP 01's were sold out on the web. However, Bud's listed them as in stock, so I went ahead and ordered one. Then, they notified me that they too were out, the stock quantity simply hadn't been updated on their website.

So I looked around some more on their site, noticed a beefy looking compact model with a rail( I tried to do as much research on these as I could) and thought what the heck, it probably weighs almost as much as the B. So I ordered and later stumbled across this thread to find out that I've stumbled into a rather special pistol, seemingly by accident.

Needless to say I fell in love the very moment I lifted it out of the box. :)  She showed up in 2 days and so far I've put the 300 best rounds I've ever fired through her. I was even able to land shots consistently on a little 6 inch gong at about 80 yards(unheard of for me w/ a handgun).

Funny how things just work out sometimes.

Please forgive my lousy camera and photography.

There is something about CZs that seems to encourage civil discussions.  Over on INGO, there's a thread that's in its 10th iteration, with each iteration being closed after 5k responses.  That's pushing 50,000 responses about all things CZ

Whoa, those are crazy high response counts at INGO!

Jeez I didn't realize this thread was so high by reply count... Ha, it's like having 1 thread for everything about the Tactical Sport... Hopefully it's still helpful at this length. It is still fun to see people add their posts with stories of getting these pistols though, like a growing saga for this one off unique CZ.

This thread convinced me to get this one over the PCR for the time being. I know I'll still get a PCR one day. I'm still waiting on my holster to get here, but if I can manage the weight of this for EDC I'll be one happy fella and feel very confident in it's shooting ability. Scarlett should get a free CZ for this thread.
