Vz grips it is. I have a hard time reaching the safety.
The thinnest g10 grips are the thin grips by Lok.  The thinnest of all are the things  aluminum grips.

Well, today I shipped my sp-01 compact off to CGW to get refinished. I'm going to get it black nitrided,  After shooting about 1000 or so rounds through it, and carrying it for awhile,It's been my experience that CZ's polycoat is just worthless. While shooting with a silver ring on my right hand, I quickly wore a spot on the grip through the polycoat and down to the bare steel. Nitriding will be a much, much, more durable finish. I'm also getting the barrel done inside and out and as many small parts as possible. My idea is to make this as rust resistant as possible. I already have 4 mags done in electroless nickel.(when carrying a reload, I found that these start rusting rather easily as well) Since the P-10 c is nitrided, (and we know CZ can do it) I'm hoping that CZ will drop the polycoat and nitride their pistols in the future,that would be a huge improvement. When this pistol is done, this is going to make a great carry gun, I can't wait.

I managed to find one of these used at a LGS for $475.   Bought it immediately.   It hadn't been registered and was LNIB.  I haven't seen this variant elsewhere before so was suspicious it was rare.  Glad to see I was correct.

Nice find, and a excellant price, these are on the rare side, and they do take well to mods with CGW parts.With a good holster/belt they aren't bad to carry either.

Does anyone AIWB carry this firearm? Any recommendations on affordable Holsters? ~$70 range? This might be an option for me on days I feel like a little more ammo than my  j frame or P938

I got one a couple weeks ago - still available here: http://www.k-var.com/shop/CZ-P01-9-BLACK-14-STEEL-99021.html
Love it, of course I am knee deep in CGW parts too - getting ready to install the disco and FPB arm lift.

Trigger is really creepy, I don't want it too light though as it's a carry gun.

I did a LOT of research on this and lots of calls. Ended up with a Garret Holsters. Absolutely fantastic and excellent quality. These are Kydex with leather liner, so the best of both worlds. I got both IWB and OWB holsters.

I had a Garrett Silent Thunder for a P-30 I had for awhile..The only thing I did'nt like about it was the leather lining started peeling away from the edges of the holster, Frankly, myself, I think I'd rather have unlined kydex..

For a polymer gun, Kydex is fine, but for these all steel, I definitely want the added protection. I am extra careful with my gear, and Garrett's are great people I know they will take care of it in such unfortunate event.

@Scarlett: Here's my OWB

Tex I like those holster!

I draw my SP-01 from a Blade-tech quite a bit for dry fire and live fire. Haven't had any wear through the poly yet... But I have seen that wear from rings on fingers and what not. One day I will make the final excuse and send mine off to get the hard chrome treatment. David at CGW said that his favorite finish is electroless nickel as a base and then hard chrome over the top. Yes, please!!!!
