Thanks! I think I could of saved some money going with the shadow 2 at this point lol. What's your trigger weight at the moment?

Haha you say that now but you would of likely been sucked into all the upgrades for it too.

I wanted mine with a lighter trigger to rival any 1911. It's breaking at 1 lb 15 Oz now. I think it dropped from staking the sear cage more than break in though... Normally the Race Hammer doesn't break that light.

Oh wow, that sounds fantastic! How much weight did you drop in staking the sear cage? Did you have CGW do some work on your hammer hooks by chance?

I dropped almost half a pound with staking e sear cage. Mine had a good amount of play. So much so that the pistol went back to CGW because I thought the hammer hooks were off and Scott wanted to look at it. While it was there Scott touched up the hooks for me a little to lighten the break.

Anyway, staking the sear cage also helped make the trigger break even cleaner. Just so crisp and clean.

I think you might have overdone it a bit.

It's all personal preference. All my CZ's have about a 2.5 lb trigger pull with the CZC Competition hammers so I'm very accustomed to light SA triggers. BUT I don't let anyone shoot it unless they dry fire it to get acquainted with it.

I'm thinking about picking up one of the CZ 75 Compacts (frame looks like a P-01 but is steel) to shoot for a defensive pistol match. I think I'd prefer to have a left side safety lever more like the one on the 75 Shadow. Would this be a simple parts swap?

Here's a list of compatible parts, just for future reference.

Here's a thread on swapping g the left side safety. It's really simple, there's just a little material removal from the safety bar or the inside of the right side safety where the safety bar inserts into it. I remove material from bothering now (used to just do the left side safety bar).  There's a little video on page 2 explaining what to do.

If you need any help on getting it apart and back together here's some videos.

Where did all the play in the sear cage come from? I'm running CGW sear cage and I have no play at all. I'm hoping to drop a few ounces after the break in period. I've only shot mine maybe 150 rds.

It's just the machining tolerances. On some of the pistols there's just a thousandth off and with the sear cage that can cause some extra weight in the trigger pull.

Posted this group from a wrist rest today at 25 yards. I've never pulled that off before. These are some stupid accurate little pistols! Wish I could put this in a ransom rest to truly test it.

What do you mean you are running a "CGW seat cage"?

Oh I meant sear, not see sear cage. Sorry for the confusion.

Hell, apparently I can't even spell "sear" correctly so don't worry about it.

Impromptu range trip to test the new sights, and to sight in an optic on the AR. The sights are fantastic! I'm in love with the trigger on the CZ, so much so that I didn't pick the AR after the optic was dialed in. Had every intention of posting pics of my groups until the ppl a lane over started shooting at my target [emoji35]

Very nice! Ha, that sucks when people shoot your target.... Post groups from the next time and glad you're enjoying your trigger!

Well my CZ SP-01 compact is fully stripped, internals getting a polish and waiting on my SAO conversion and other goodies to arrive from Cajun Gun Works. I'm stoked. Will post pics of the final product when I get it! You all have inspired me.

I was fortunate enough to snag one of these when they were still available. Replaced my Sig with it and never looked back. I find it surprisingly comfortable to carry despite the weight.
